In this week’s Apple stock news, Apple has confirmed that they will be holding a special “Spring Loaded” event on April 20. Apple usually conducts its hardware launch event in the month of March. Earlier, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri leaked the date for the event when asked by iOS users.

While the company has been tight-lipped about the possible launches at the event, there are a few leaks here and there that give us a hint about what the Cupertino tech giant is planning to launch.

According to a report by MacRumors, Apple will show off the first new products of 2021, and there’s quite a lot on the horizon. Updated iPad Pro models, a new low-cost iPad, a new iPad mini, refreshed iMacs, and the long-awaited AirTags are all products that Apple could potentially introduce.

Apple Working on Combined TV Box and Speaker

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is working on a product that would combine an Apple TV set-top box with a HomePod speaker and include a camera for video conferencing through a connected TV and other smart-home functions.

The device’s other capabilities would include standard Apple TV box functions like watching video and gaming. The smart speaker uses such as playing music and using Apple’s Siri digital assistant are also included. If launched, it would represent Apple’s most ambitious smart-home hardware offering to date.

According to MacRumors, the upcoming 2022 iPhone lineup will feature two 6.1-inch devices and two 6.7-inch devices, with no mini-sized 5.4-inch ‌iPhone. The info was obtained in a note to investors from well-respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Two of the iPhones will be high-end models and two of the iPhones will be lower-end models, similar to the current iPhone 12 lineup.

Along with streamlining size options, Kuo believes that Apple will introduce significant camera upgrades in the 2022 iPhones, adding a 48-megapixel camera in the high-end ‌iPhone‌ 14 models. Kuo says that the upgraded camera lens will take ‌iPhone‌ camera photography “to a new level.”
